  • 2 pounds frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 3/4 cup melted butter (divided)
  • 2 cups corn flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine thawed hash browns, cheddar cheese, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, onion powder, salt, pepper, and 1/2 cup melted butter. Mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking pan.
  4. In a small bowl, crush corn flakes and mix with the remaining 1/4 cup melted butter until coated.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the corn flakes over the casserole mixture.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
