  • 2 cups breadcrumbs (Italian-style or panko)

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Freeze mozzarella sticks for at least 1 hour.
  2. Set up three shallow bowls: one with seasoned flour, another with whisked eggs and water, and the last with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and onion powder.
  3. Coat each frozen mozzarella stick first in flour, then egg mixture, followed by breadcrumbs. For extra crunch, repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
