  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 10 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2-inch parmesan rind

Instructions

  2. Sauté diced carrots, celery, and onion in the same pot until softened.
  3. Add ground beef and garlic; cook until browned. Season with salt.
  4. Deglaze with white apple vinegar; simmer for five minutes.
  5. Stir in chicken broth and herbs; cover and simmer for about one hour.
  6. Incorporate whole milk; cook until sauce thickens.
  7. Serve over pappardelle or rigatoni.
