  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper adjust to spice preference.
For the Gravy
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose Flour or gluten-free flour.
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup or cream of chicken/celery.
  • 1 cup Milk for gravy.

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, crumbled saltine crackers, 1 cup of milk, Italian herbs, onion powder, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper. Season with salt and pepper, mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into ½-inch thick patties, aiming for about eight steaks.
  4. Lightly coat each patty in all-purpose flour, shaking off excess.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add oil, and brown the patties for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  6. Transfer browned patties to the greased baking dish in a single layer.
  7. Whisk together cream of mushroom soup and remaining 1 cup of milk until smooth. Pour over the patties.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  9. Let rest for a few minutes before serving with mashed potatoes or rice.
