- In a medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat melted butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until creamy.
- Add in eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight if possible.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Form dough balls about 2 inches in diameter and place them on prepared baking sheets.
- Press a few reserved chocolate chips on top of each dough ball then bake for 10–13 minutes.
