Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 1 pound Boneless chicken breasts or skinless chicken thighs can be used
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil can be replaced with vegetable oil
For the Marinade
  • 1/4 cup Maple syrup honey can be used as an alternative
  • 1 tablespoon Maple seasoning e.g., McCormick’s Grill Mates Smokehouse Maple
For the Veggies
  • 1 medium Red onion or shallots can be used
  • 1 medium Green bell pepper any bell pepper color can be swapped in
  • 1 medium Red bell pepper orange bell peppers can also be utilized
  • 2 stalks Green onions optional, can be omitted or substituted with chives

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, maple syrup, and your choice of maple seasoning until well combined.
  2. Cut boneless chicken breasts into uniform cubes and place into a large Ziploc bag or glass dish. Pour the prepared marinade over the chicken.
  3. Wash and chop your red onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Once the chicken has marinated, soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes. Thread the marinated chicken cubes and veggies onto the soaked skewers.
  5. Before grilling, sprinkle with any additional seasoning and preheat your grill to medium heat.
  6. Carefully place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10-15 minutes, turning frequently.
  7. Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
