  • 8 oz short pasta (penne or rotini)
For the Meat
  • 1 lb ground beef consider leaner cuts for a healthier option
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or vegetable oil as substitute
For the Seasoning
  • 1 tsp onion powder or fresh onions
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or fresh garlic
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika or regular paprika as substitute
For the Sauce
  • 15 oz Alfredo sauce store-bought or homemade
For the Cheese
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese optional, shredded
For the Toppings
  • 4 slices bacon or turkey bacon as substitute
  • 1 cup pickles
  • tomatoes or lettuce optional

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, about 8–10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, breaking it apart, and cook until browned, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  3. Sprinkle onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika over the beef. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat to low, pour in the Alfredo sauce, and stir to combine. Simmer for about 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  5. Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat with sauce. If desired, stir in cheddar and mozzarella cheese to melt.
  6. Remove from heat and top with crumbled bacon and diced pickles. Serve warm.
