Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil.
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook ziti pasta until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute. Add fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked ziti, sautéed spinach and garlic, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, and half of the shredded mozzarella. Mix until well coated.
  5. Spread half of the pasta mixture in the baking dish and sprinkle with half of the grated Parmesan. Add remaining pasta and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
