- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook ziti pasta until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute. Add fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cooked ziti, sautéed spinach and garlic, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, and half of the shredded mozzarella. Mix until well coated.
- Spread half of the pasta mixture in the baking dish and sprinkle with half of the grated Parmesan. Add remaining pasta and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
