  • 2 cups Elbow Macaroni gluten-free pasta can be used
  • 1 medium Onion diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce homemade or canned
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes any canned version
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning or individual dried herbs
  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese shredded
  • 1 cup Sour Cream or Greek yogurt as a healthier alternative
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese grated or shredded
Optional Vegetable Add-ins
  • 1 cup Spinach fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers finely chopped
  • 1 cup Peas frozen

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté for 2–3 minutes until soft.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Cook elbow macaroni in salted water according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  6. Combine macaroni, beef mixture, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and sour cream in a large bowl.
  7. Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
