Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Opt for lean ground beef.
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped.
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 2 tbsp Taco Seasoning Store-bought or homemade.
Cheese
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Shredded.
Shells
  • 8 pieces Tortillas Corn or flour.
Frying
  • 3-4 tbsp Oil Canola, vegetable, or avocado.
Garnish
  • 1 cup Fresh Cilantro Chopped.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring until browned. Mix in tomato paste and taco seasoning, adding a splash of water if needed.
  3. Simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes until most liquid evaporates.
Assembly and Cooking
  1. Assemble tacos by placing mozzarella cheese and seasoned beef mixture on each tortilla. Fold to enclose filling.
  2. Heat 3-4 tablespoons of oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Fry tacos for about 1 minute per side until golden brown. Drain on a wire rack.
  3. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with optional toppings.
