Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Marinate 1 pound of large shrimp in 1 cup of buttermilk for 15 minutes.
  2. Combine 1 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, ½ teaspoon of onion powder, ½ teaspoon of kosher salt, ¼ teaspoon of black pepper, and ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Remove the shrimp from the buttermilk, letting any excess drip off, then coat each shrimp in the seasoned flour mixture.
  4. Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry the shrimp in batches for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Transfer the shrimp to a lined baking sheet and drizzle with ½ cup of hot honey.
