Step-by-Step Instructions for Crock Pot Pepper Steak
- Begin by slicing 2 pounds of flank or sirloin steak thinly against the grain. Place the sliced steak directly into your crock pot.
- Add one sliced green bell pepper, one sliced red bell pepper, one sliced yellow onion, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, and 1 teaspoon of ground ginger to the crock pot.
- Pour in 1/3 cup of low sodium soy sauce, 1 cup of beef broth, and sprinkle in 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. Mix ingredients well.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hours or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, stir in a mixture of 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to thicken the sauce.
