Step-by-Step Instructions for Brown Sugar Pumpkin Loaf
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans if using.
  6. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and level it off evenly.
  7. Bake for 55 to 70 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
