Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions for 4th of July Snack Mix
  1. Start by lining a large baking sheet with either wax paper or parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, add your milk chocolate chips and heat on high for 30 seconds, stirring and repeating until melted.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, pour Rice Chex cereal and drizzle melted chocolate evenly over it, folding gently to coat.
  4. Transfer the chocolate-coated Rice Chex into a large zip-top bag with powdered sugar, seal tightly, and shake vigorously.
  5. Spread the sugary, chocolate-coated cereal onto the lined baking sheet and allow it to dry for about 1 hour.
  6. Once set, gently mix in Whoppers and red, white, and blue Peanut M&Ms.
