For the Beef Mixture
  • 1 pound Ground Beef Can be replaced with ground turkey for a leaner dish.
  • 1 medium Onion Yellow or white onion can be used.
  • 1 medium Green Bell Pepper Feel free to use other colors for variety.
  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper Consider swapping for yellow bell pepper.
  • 1 small Jalapeno Adjust quantity based on spice preference.
For Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce Opt for low-sodium versions.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Fresh garlic can be used instead.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust or omit based on dietary needs.
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to taste.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until it’s fully melted and begins to bubble.
  2. Add diced onion, chopped green and red bell peppers, and minced jalapeño. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Introduce 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  4. Drain any excess fat from the skillet and return it to low heat.
  5. Stir in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, salt and black pepper. Cook for 2 minutes until combined.
  6. Serve the beef and pepper mixture over bowls of cooked rice.
