- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until it’s fully melted and begins to bubble.
- Add diced onion, chopped green and red bell peppers, and minced jalapeño. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
- Introduce 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Drain any excess fat from the skillet and return it to low heat.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, salt and black pepper. Cook for 2 minutes until combined.
- Serve the beef and pepper mixture over bowls of cooked rice.
