Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the chocolate cake according to package or recipe instructions, then cool completely.
- In a chilled bowl, combine heavy cream and sugar, then whip to stiff peaks for 3-5 minutes.
- Cut the cooled chocolate cake into 1-inch cubes.
- Layer the trifle starting with cake cubes, then cherries, followed by whipped cream. Repeat layers until the dish is full, finishing with whipped cream.
