Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Follow white cake mix instructions to prepare batter. Pour into greased baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool completely for about 30 minutes.
- Poke holes in the cooled cake using a wooden spoon handle, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
- In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese and strawberry preserves. Blend until smooth, then spread over the cake surface.
- Whisk together the instant cheesecake pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened. Fold in whipped topping.
- Spread the cheesecake mixture over the cake, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Before serving, wash and slice fresh strawberries and arrange them on top of the cheesecake layer.
