Ingredients
  

For the Cups
  • 24 pieces wonton wrappers can substitute with mini phyllo cups
For the Filling
  • 1 pound ground beef can substitute with turkey or plant-based option
  • 1 packet taco seasoning homemade seasoning can be used
  • 1/4 cup water omit if using liquid seasoning blend
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Monterey Jack cheese can be used
  • 1/2 cup black olives (sliced) optional
  • 1/2 cup sour cream can substitute with Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup salsa mild or spicy to taste
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions can swap with chopped cilantro

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Press one wonton wrapper into the bottom of each muffin cup and layer a second wrapper on top.
  3. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain fat, then add taco seasoning and water; simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Spoon the seasoned beef mixture into each wonton cup and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until wonton wrappers are golden and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Garnish with sliced black olives, piped sour cream, salsa, and sliced green onions before serving.
