Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Meat Sauce: Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté onions until translucent, then add garlic. Brown ground beef and sausage, then mix in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, red wine, sugar, and herbs. Simmer for 30-45 minutes.
  2. Prepare Lasagna Sheets: Cook pasta sheets according to package instructions, drain and lay on a kitchen towel.
  3. Create Ricotta Filling: Combine ricotta cheese with parsley and salt in a bowl until blended.
  4. Layer the Lasagna: In a baking dish, alternate layers of meat sauce, pasta sheets, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella. Finish with mozzarella on top.
  5. Bake: Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 20-25 minutes until bubbling and golden.
