Equipment

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large soup pot or Dutch oven, heat over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Allow it to cook undisturbed for 5-6 minutes until browned.
  2. Add the chopped onion and stir well with the ground beef. Cook for another 5 minutes until onion is tender and translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute. Then, add the orzo and toast it gently in the pot for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in the tomato sauce, beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a gentle bubble and cook uncovered for 10 minutes.
  5. Adjust heat to maintain a gentle simmer, stirring regularly until the sauce thickens and the orzo becomes tender.
  6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and fresh spinach. Cover for 3-5 minutes until the spinach wilts and cheese melts.
  7. Taste and season with salt and pepper before serving hot.
