Cooking Steps
  1. Heat olive oil in a large soup pot over medium-high heat. Add chopped onion and celery, sautéing for 5-7 minutes until translucent.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add lean ground beef, breaking it with a spoon. Cook for about 8 minutes until browned.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the beef and stir well. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Mix in tomato paste and cook for about 2 minutes.
  6. Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Add potatoes and carrots, and bring to a gentle boil.
  7. Lower heat to a simmer and cover the pot. Cook for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Check the thickness of the stew and adjust with more broth if needed.
  9. Stir in frozen peas and heat through for about 5 minutes. Adjust seasonings with salt and pepper.
