  • 2 pieces Ciabatta Buns You can swap them for a crusty baguette or any sturdy roll if needed.
  • 2 slices Thick-Sliced Leftover Meatloaf Freshly made meatloaf works wonderfully too.
  • 1 cup Grated Mozzarella or Provolone Cheese Consider cheddar or gouda for a different flavor twist.
  • 1/2 cup Marinara Sauce Homemade adds a personal touch.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Basil You can use spinach or arugula for a different flavor profile.

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C) to toast the ciabatta buns.
  2. Slice the ciabatta buns in half and lay them cut-side up on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for 5-8 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Spread a thick layer of marinara sauce on each cut side of the toasted buns.
  4. Layer thick slices of leftover meatloaf on one half of each bun.
  5. Sprinkle grated mozzarella or provolone cheese over the meatloaf and return to the oven for another 5-8 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil, close the sandwiches, and serve hot.
