Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt ½ cup unsalted butter in the microwave until liquid.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and ¼ teaspoon salt.
  4. Combine melted butter with ¾ cup light brown sugar and whisk until smooth.
  5. Add 1 large egg, 2 mashed bananas, and 1 teaspoon vanilla to the mixture, stirring until smooth.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and fold in half of the mini chocolate chips.
  7. Spread the batter evenly in the pan and sprinkle the reserved chocolate chips on top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the center is set. A toothpick should come out clean.
