Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  2. Roll out the ready-to-use puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Score the pastry lengthwise into three equal sections.
  3. Cut diagonal strips on each side of the middle section, about 1-inch wide towards the center.
  4. Remove the small triangular piece at the end of the middle section.
  5. Spoon the lemon curd into the center of the pastry, spreading it evenly across the exposed area.
  6. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, icing sugar, vanilla extract, and cornflour. Beat until smooth.
  7. Fold the pastry strips alternately over the filling to create a braid.
  8. Brush the surface of the pastry with the lightly beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Bake for 17-22 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  10. Cool on a wire rack for about 30 minutes before slicing into 1-inch pieces.
