Step-by-Step Instructions for Maple-Butter-Glazed Turkey
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Pat the turkey dry with paper towels and season inside and out with sea salt and pepper. Position turkey breast-side up on roasting rack in a large roasting pan.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the maple syrup until combined. Simmer for 3–5 minutes to enhance flavor.
- Using a pastry brush, apply the maple-butter glaze all over the turkey's skin, reserving some for basting.
- Roast your turkey for approximately 13–15 minutes per pound, basting every 30 minutes with the reserved glaze.
- Check the internal temperature after 2 to 3 hours; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Let the turkey rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.
