Step-by-Step Instructions for Maple-Butter-Glazed Turkey
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Pat the turkey dry with paper towels and season inside and out with sea salt and pepper. Position turkey breast-side up on roasting rack in a large roasting pan.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the maple syrup until combined. Simmer for 3–5 minutes to enhance flavor.
  3. Using a pastry brush, apply the maple-butter glaze all over the turkey's skin, reserving some for basting.
  4. Roast your turkey for approximately 13–15 minutes per pound, basting every 30 minutes with the reserved glaze.
  5. Check the internal temperature after 2 to 3 hours; it should reach 165°F (74°C).
  6. Let the turkey rest for at least 20 minutes before carving.
