Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup of wholesome organic cane sugar, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt.
  3. Add 1/4 cup of cold, cubed unsalted butter and 1/4 cup of cream cheese to the flour mixture, mixing until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together 1 large egg and 1/2 cup of milk, then pour this into the dry ingredients along with 1 cup of diced fresh strawberries and 1 cup of blueberries. Gently fold everything together.
  5. Lightly flour your countertop, turn the dough out, and divide it into two equal portions, shaping each into a 5-inch circle, about 1-inch thick.
  6. Slice each circle into 6 wedges, keeping the pieces together.
  7. Transfer the baking sheet to your preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove the scones from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes before serving.
