Pretzel Bites
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Gradually mix in all-purpose flour and salt. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). In a large pot, boil water with baking soda.
- Roll the risen dough into a log, cut into 1-inch pieces.
- Boil pretzel bites for about 30 seconds, turning after 15 seconds.
- Remove and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
Beer Cheese Dip
- Melt butter in a saucepan. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add beer while whisking until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in cheddar cheese, Swiss cheese, mustard, and garlic powder until melted and smooth.
