Ingredients
  

Pretzel Bites
  • 1 cup Warm Water Around 110°F (45°C)
  • 1 packet Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2.5 cups All-Purpose Flour Can substitute half with whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 10 cups Water For boiling
  • cup Baking Soda For boiling pretzels
  • 1 cup Beer Vegetable or chicken broth for non-alcoholic option
  • Coarse to taste Pretzel Salt For sprinkling on top
  • 1 Egg for wash For golden finish
Beer Cheese Dip
  • 2 tablespoons Butter For richness
  • 2 tablespoons Flour For roux
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • ½ cup Shredded Swiss Cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard For flavor
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder For enhanced taste

Method
 

Pretzel Bites
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Gradually mix in all-purpose flour and salt. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). In a large pot, boil water with baking soda.
  5. Roll the risen dough into a log, cut into 1-inch pieces.
  6. Boil pretzel bites for about 30 seconds, turning after 15 seconds.
  7. Remove and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with salt. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
Beer Cheese Dip
  1. Melt butter in a saucepan. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Gradually add beer while whisking until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Stir in cheddar cheese, Swiss cheese, mustard, and garlic powder until melted and smooth.
