Cooking Steps
- Cook pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add onion, and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes, salt, and pepper; let simmer for 15-20 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Fold in cooked pasta, ensuring it's well coated; stir for 2-3 minutes.
- Mix in diced mozzarella until melted, about 2 minutes.
- Fold in fresh basil and adjust seasoning to taste.
