Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
- Spread a generous layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border along one edge.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then layer on the pepperoni, avoiding the border.
- Starting from the topped long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log shape and pinch the seam to seal.
- Chill the rolled dough in the freezer for about 20 minutes for easier slicing.
- After chilling, slice the log into 12 slices, about ½ to 1 inch thick and arrange cut-side up on the baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
- Serve warm, optionally alongside marinara sauce for dipping.
