- In a large skillet over medium heat, add 1 pound of ground beef. Cook thoroughly for about 7–10 minutes until nicely browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in 1 diced onion and 1 chopped green bell pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes until tender and aromatic.
- Pour in your favorite Sloppy Joe sauce, mixing it well. Let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
- Once the sauce thickens, reduce heat to low and add 1 cup of cheese. Stir continuously for 2–3 minutes until melted.
- While the cheese melts, slice 4 hoagie rolls open and lightly toast them for about 2 minutes until golden brown.
- Spoon the cheesy beef mixture into each toasted roll and serve hot, ideally with chips or a fresh salad.
