Step-by-Step Instructions for Plum-Glazed Lamb
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Place the bone-in leg of lamb fat side up on the roasting rack in a shallow baking pan. Generously season with salt and pepper.
  3. Roast the lamb uncovered for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, basting every 15 minutes during the last hour.
  4. Drain the canned plums, saving 1/2 cup of syrup. Blend plums, reserved syrup, garlic, lemon juice, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and dried basil until smooth.
  5. Baste the lamb with the plum glaze during the last hour of roasting.
  6. Once done, let the lamb rest for 10-15 minutes before serving with the reserved sauce on the side.
