Ingredients
  

For the Chocolate Base
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips Can substitute with milk or dark chocolate.
  • 1 cup White Chocolate Chips Can replace with more semi-sweet chocolate.
  • 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter Almond or sunflower butter can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Almond extract is a possible substitute.
  • 1 pinch Salt Adjust to taste.
For the Mix-Ins
  • 2 cups Small Marshmallows Mini marshmallows can be used.
  • 2 cups Crushed Salty Pretzels Other salty snacks like potato chips can work.
  • 1 cup Mini Butter Cookies or Graham Cracker Pieces Any cookie or cereal can replace these.
  • 1 cup Chopped Peanuts or Mixed Nuts Feel free to use any nut mix.
  • 1 cup Shredded Coconut Optional; can be replaced with chopped dried fruits.

Method
 

Making the Ragtag Candies
  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt semi-sweet and white chocolate chips with creamy peanut butter for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine small marshmallows, crushed salty pretzels, mini butter cookie pieces, and chopped peanuts; mix together for 2 minutes.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the dry ingredients and gently fold to coat each piece for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Drop dollops of the mixture onto a lined baking sheet or spread into a square pan for a uniform appearance.
  5. Refrigerate the candies for 1-2 hours, until firm to the touch.
  6. Carefully remove the candies from parchment; serve immediately or store in an airtight container.
