  • 1 kg Beef Roast (chuck)
  • 1 tsp Salt adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp Pepper freshly ground
For Searing and Cooking
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil can substitute with another oil
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
For the BBQ Flavor
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce your favorite type
  • 1/2 cup Cooking Juice to keep the beef moist

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Season the beef roast with salt and pepper. Sear in a skillet with olive oil for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
  2. Transfer the seared beef to the slow cooker. Sauté onions and garlic in the skillet until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Layer sautéed onions and garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker, then place the seared beef on top. Pour BBQ sauce and cooking juice over the beef.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours until beef is fork-tender.
  5. Remove beef from the slow cooker and shred with forks. Mix the shredded beef back into the sauce.
  6. Assemble sandwiches with shredded beef on soft buns, adding coleslaw if desired.
