- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, stirring occasionally for about 5–7 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a food processor, blend the cream cheese and eggs until smooth. Combine with cooled ground beef in a mixing bowl.
- Pour the beef and cream mixture into a small casserole dish, spreading evenly and forming an even layer.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped mushrooms and cook for about 4-5 minutes until soft. Stir in seasoning salt, dried parsley, and black pepper.
- Spread the sautéed mushrooms over the beef mixture. If using, sprinkle cheese of choice evenly over the mushrooms.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes. Remove when set and slightly puffed up. Let cool for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
