  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar for sweetness
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil use sparingly
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes optional
For the Noodles
  • 8 ounces Noodles spaghetti, udon, or rice
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch for slurry
  • 1/2 cup Water for sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil to prevent sticking
For Garnishing
  • 2 stalks Green Onions chopped

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water over high heat. Add noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and toss with vegetable oil.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Lower heat, add garlic and ginger; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, and water. Pour over beef and stir to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Mix cornstarch with a bit of water in a bowl. Pour into skillet while stirring. Cook for 1-2 minutes until thickened.
  6. Add cooked noodles to the skillet and toss with beef and sauce. Heat together for a minute.
  7. Stir in sesame oil and half of the chopped green onions. Garnish with remaining onions before serving.
