Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and gather ingredients and equipment.
  2. In a food processor, combine fresh salmon, smoked salmon, heavy cream, eggs, dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, blending until smooth (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Line a loaf pan with plastic wrap, ensuring enough overhang.
  4. Pour half of the mixture into the mold. If using, layer optional vegetables, then pour the remaining mixture on top.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap, place in a baking dish filled with hot water, and bake for about 40 minutes until set.
  6. Let cool for 10-15 minutes at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  7. Lift the terrine from the mold using the plastic wrap, slice, and serve with fresh herbs and lemon wedges.
