- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until just shy of al dente, about 1-2 minutes less than the package instructions. Reserve a cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
- Sear the Shrimp: In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until opaque and golden. Remove from skillet.
- Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, lower heat, add butter, then garlic and chili flakes. Sauté for 30 seconds. Add wine or broth, lemon juice, and zest. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Combine the Pasta: Stir in the cooked pasta, mix half of the Parmesan and parsley.
- Transfer and Bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Transfer pasta mixture to a greased baking dish, top with mozzarella and remaining Parmesan. Bake for about 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
- Final Touch and Serve: Remove dish from oven, cool slightly, garnish with parsley and lemon juice. Serve hot.
