Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the chopped strawberries, sugar, and filtered water. Stir occasionally and simmer for about 30 minutes until strawberries are soft.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl and let it cool completely.
  3. In a separate saucepan, bring filtered water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and add the black tea bags, allowing to steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove tea bags and stir in granulated sugar until dissolved.
  5. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled strawberry syrup, brewed tea, and additional filtered water. Add lemon juice and stir well.
  6. Fill individual glasses with fresh ice cubes and pour the strawberry iced tea over the ice. Garnish with mint and sliced strawberries.
