- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the chopped strawberries, sugar, and filtered water. Stir occasionally and simmer for about 30 minutes until strawberries are soft.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl and let it cool completely.
- In a separate saucepan, bring filtered water to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and add the black tea bags, allowing to steep for 5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags and stir in granulated sugar until dissolved.
- In a large pitcher, combine the cooled strawberry syrup, brewed tea, and additional filtered water. Add lemon juice and stir well.
- Fill individual glasses with fresh ice cubes and pour the strawberry iced tea over the ice. Garnish with mint and sliced strawberries.
