  2. Step 2: Combine Vegetables: In the slow cooker, add chopped shallots or onion, celery, carrots, and leek. Mix in garlic granules, Dijon mustard, tomato purée, brown sugar, and xanthan gum.
  3. Step 3: Combine Ingredients: Fold in the browned beef, add bay leaves, Worcestershire sauce, and pour in the ale. Stir until combined.
  4. Step 4: Cook: Cover with lid and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 5-6 hours.
