Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by placing sliced onions evenly at the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Carefully lay the beef roast directly on top of the sliced onions.
- Pour the beef broth over the roast, followed by the Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, black pepper, and salt generously over the beef.
- Cover the slow cooker with its lid and set it to cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the beef roast from the slow cooker and shred it into bite-sized pieces.
- Strain out the onions from the broth and return the broth to the slow cooker.
- Stir in the cornstarch mixed with water and cook on HIGH for about 15 minutes until it thickens.
- To serve, place a slice of toasted bread on each plate. Layer mashed potatoes, followed by shredded beef, and ladle the thickened gravy over.

Notes
Make sure to massage spices into the beef before cooking for enhanced flavor. Store mashed potatoes separately to maintain creaminess.
