  • 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika use regular paprika for less smoke
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
For Searing and Aromatics
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 medium Onions sliced
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
Optional Add-Ins
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme fresh preferred

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Season the beef short ribs generously with salt and pepper on all sides and marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and sear the ribs for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden.
  3. Sauté sliced onions in the same skillet for 5 minutes until soft, then add minced garlic for another minute.
  4. Pour in beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, tomato paste, vinegar, smoked paprika, and thyme. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour the sauce over the ribs in the crockpot, making sure each rib is coated.
  6. Cook on low for 8 hours until the meat is tender and falls off the bone.
  7. Serve the ribs with some sauce drizzled on top and garnish with chopped parsley.
