Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and cut into your desired shapes. Place shapes on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden around the edges. Allow to cool completely.
  2. While the cookies are cooling, cut out feather shapes from red and orange cardstock about 3-4 inches long and set aside.
  3. Once cooled, use frosting or melted candy to attach the cardstock feathers to the back of each cookie in a fan shape, and place googly eyes at the center.
  4. Optional: Add real fall leaves to each cookie for a rustic feel, or use artificial leaves.
  5. Package each cookie in a cello bag and seal tightly. Store in a cool, dry place.
