For the Dressing
  • 0.75 cups mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar or substitutes
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper to taste

Preparation Steps
  1. Begin by rinsing the broccoli under cold water. Chop it into bite-sized florets and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Dice the red onion and add it to the bowl along with the shredded carrots, dried cranberries, sunflower seed kernels, and crumbled bacon.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, honey, and apple cider vinegar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Season the dressing with salt and black pepper.
  5. Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients in the large bowl and gently toss everything together.
  6. Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
  7. Just before serving, toss the salad again to redistribute the dressing and serve chilled.
